Hike Bike and Ride stock the complete range of Endura Cycling clothes. This fantastic range of cycle clothing offers a wide choice of clothing that has something for everyone. However, while this is great it can sometimes cause problems when choosing the right clothing.
As that is the case we thought it would be helpful to give some of the history behind the brand and explain some of the technical differences within the range.

Following the launch of the original Endura MT500 shorts and jerseys back in 1992, the brand has gone from strength to strength and has established itself as a best selling brand with both our customers and Hike Bike and Ride staff.

Endura’s original concept of producing high performance, long lasting cycle clothing, in the best available materials is evident today. Their design & development team works closely with road, track and MTB cyclists as well as the Endura Racing Cycle Team, to thoroughly test there designs prior to release.

Within the range there are technical differences which offer cyclists specific benefits, some pieces offer higher levels of comfort and are ideal for long days in the saddle and some have a more relaxed fit and are well suited for shorter blasts around your local trail centre.

For example, some garments within the range have an FS prefix, this refers to ‘Fieldsensor’ a fabric which offers superior muscle support and uses multi-layers and capillary action to push perspiration out toward the fabric surface to keep the wearer comfortable and dry.

Within the range there are a number of products which use the FS260 fabric including mens and womens FS-260 shorts, shirts, jerseys and accessories such as mitts, headbands, skullcaps and armwarmers. One of Hike Bike and Ride's best selling lines is the Endura FS260 Pro Sleeveless Jersey.

PTFE Protection is another prefix that applies to some Endura products and it is important to note,where you see this reference, the product uses the most waterproof, breathable fabric currently available. This technology is used by the well known Goretex and eVent fabrics – essentially it’s one of the best waterproofs you can lay your hands on!

In test results the superior moisture & vapour transmission properties, have proven PTFE protection to retain an impressive breathablility rating of greater than 28,000gms/m2/24hrs after multiple machine washes - which is great news for mountain bikers!

Contenders worth considering with these properties include the Endura MT500 Jacket, The Venturi II Jacket and the Venturi II Overtrousers.
